Colorado Tank and Barrel Company (a division of Colorado Zero Waste LLC) in business since 2009 specializes in sourcing used plastic
and steel bulk food grade containers - 15 gallon barrels, 55 gallon barrels, IBC tote tanks and other food safe containers from industry. We diligently search the surrounding area to
bring you used, food safe containers in great shape at a great
price. We adhere to the 100 mile rule when looking for suppliers, which not only helps keep our prices low but has other great effects: our products travel a shorter distance therefore less energy is expended, less fuel equals lesser impact on our high mountain desert environment. In addition, a local supply chain supports our Colorado businesses, which in turn helps strengthen our local economy.
Our only focus is food grade industrial containers, and chances are we have the inventory to complete your project. You shouldn't have to wait weeks to have your orders filled. We have hundreds of containers in stock at any given time, with a clear chain of custody - our containers haven't been sitting deteriorating out in the weather for 5 years - chances are they were emptied of their food grade contents last week.

You may purchase as few or as many containers as you would like from us! We'll happily pallet and shrink wrap any amount of product for shipping.
Delivery is available for as little as $85.00 per pallet (4 barrels or 1 ibc tote) to a commercial location in Colorado Springs and $95.00 for the Western Slope. All freight prices are market based - and fluctuate with fuel prices and market conditions.

Look for a blue metal sided warehouse with cyclone fencing on the north side of Bowen Circle, there is a street address sign over our warehouse man door. There are 2 white overhead doors on this side of the building, our entrance is the one to the east or to your right as you face the blue building. Chances are the overhead door will be open and you can walk right in. Park anywhere you'd like in the circle please do not block our driveway which is our loading zone.
We are located in an industrial warehouse, space is tight and a forklift may be in use.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING FOOD GRADE CONTAINERS:
If we call a product "food grade", we actually mean food grade. Things like hydrochloric acid and lactic acid may have been labeled "food grade", but that doesn't mean you should put them in your mouth. High Density Poly Ethylene (which is what most of these containers are made of) is permeable to a certain extent, no amount of washing is going to make something that contained nasty corrosives or alkalines safe for food or water storage. If watering food plants, storing water for drinking or watering animals a "reconditioned" barrel might not be a good an investment. Be smart. Your vendor should be able to tell you what was in the containers you are about to purchase. If it wasn't food ask for Material Safety Data Sheets for what they contained (MSDS Sheets). Conduct your own web searches. If you see something being sold as food grade VERIFY the claim before you water or feed your animals, plants or family from it. We leave the FOOD GRADE residue in all our containers to prove our claims of previous contents in our products. If we say it's "food grade" you can stick your finger in the residue and put it in your mouth (and survive the experience with no bad effects).
